USCENTCOM CCJ38 C-UAS Branch Operations Research/Planning Analysis

Responsibilities
Develop and refine planning materials at the Combatant Command level to support ongoing operations within the CCJ38 C-UAS Branch
Rapidly develop CONOPS for complex C-UAS tasks, ensuring operational utility and alignment with USCENTCOM objectives
Prepare concise talking points for senior-level meetings to articulate C-UAS strategies and priorities
Coordinate with partner nations, joint forces, and interagency stakeholders to synchronize C-UAS efforts across the enterprise
Respond to complex requests for information from general officers with polished, analytical, and actionable narrative insights
Attend meetings with the Joint Staff, Components, and Program Offices to ensure C-UAS tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) are effective in theater, contributing in alignment with CCJ38 and USCENTCOM intent
Provide real-time, analytics-driven planning recommendations to commanders during operations to counter UAS threats to bases, dismounted forces, or critical infrastructure
Analyze after-action reports from C-UAS incidents and engagements to enhance effectiveness and adapt to evolving threats
Maintain an updated Partner Nation Laydown (PowerPoint & Maven), advising leaders on integration challenges, opportunities, and joint posture enhancements
If requested, advise Services on acquisition and R&D strategies to ensure USCENTCOM maintains technological superiority against UAS threats
Support Crisis Action Team (CAT) shifts in the Joint Operations Center (JOC) and Focus Point Operations Center (FPOC) as required
Contribute to emergency action OPTs, working groups, planning meetings, and GO/FO-level briefings
Participate in select C-UAS demonstrations, training programs, and joint exercises (1-4 annually) to bolster enterprise awareness and readiness of USCENTCOM forces and partner nations
Qualification
Required
Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communication, Business Administration, Engineering, or Information Technology)
Prior Combatant Command experience in military planning, C-UAS operations, or force protection, preferably in a joint or combatant command environment
Familiarity with USCENTCOM's AOR, including its cultural, geopolitical, and operational dynamics
Practical knowledge of C-UAS technologies and operational staff tools (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Maven, C2IE)
Demonstrated experience in joint operations or interagency coordination
Strong written, analytical, and problem-solving skills to concentrate complex situations into actionable and easily understood plans
Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leaders and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the C-UAS enterprise
Proficiency in operational planning frameworks, such as the Joint Planning Process (JPP) or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, dynamic environments

Advanced degrees or equivalent experience preferred
Substitution possible with 10+ years of relevant military or integration experience
