HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE-FMLA/RETIREMENT COORDINATOR

Responsibilities
Serves as a Human Resource Generalist
Responds to sensitive and controversial inquires related to FMLA
Serves as the ISP Retirement/Disability Coordinator
Provides professional assistance and tracking related to FMLA, Family Bereavement Leave Act (FBLA), Parental Leave and Military Leave, Reviews Employee medical reports for Leave of Absences
Conducts Retirement orientations when requested
Provides professional assistance related to FMAL and Retirement
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Qualification
Required
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development to completion of four years of college
Requires one year of professional experience preferably in Human Resources, or satisfactory completion of an approved training program
Requires ability to pass agency background investigation
Requires ability to successfully pass agency drug screen
Preferred
Prefers two years working knowledge of public or private sector Personnel Code, Rules, Position Classification Plan, Pay Plan, Collective Bargaining contracts, departmental policies, and procedures
Prefers two years experience with Leave of Absence programs and procedures, specifically the Family Medical Leave Act
Prefers two years experience in using computer systems, software, templates, or other guides
Prefers two years experience maintaining records of a highly confidential nature
Prefers one year experience preparing and executing presentations for others, to provide information
Prefers one year experience developing and maintaining successful and professional working relationships with a wide variety of staff
