Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Backstage as an internal developer platform
Customize and extend Backstage plugins using React
Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to integrate Backstage with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and internal tools
Define best practices for developer experience, service cataloging, documentation, and automation
Work closely with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to ensure scalable and secure deployments
Support infrastructure as code initiatives (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve onboarding, observability, and operational efficiency
Act as a subject-matter expert for Backstage within the organization
Qualification
Required
Proven experience working with Backstage (hands-on, production-level)
Strong background as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
Solid experience with React for frontend customization and plugin development
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but GCP/Azure acceptable)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams
Preferred
Experience in fintech or enterprise-scale platforms
Familiarity with service catalogs, developer portals, and platform engineering concepts
Experience mentoring or guiding teams on DevOps and platform best practices
