The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data while managing month-end close and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks, ensuring accurate and timely postings
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Generate financial statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets for management review
Track and analyze costs related to mining operations, including equipment, materials, and labor
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts
Support external audits and liaise with auditors and tax advisors
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of experience in energy, oil and gas, mining or industrial space
Accounting degree required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop or Online
Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing
