Responsibilities
Partner with the Board and executive leadership to shape, execute, and continuously refine a multi-year strategy aligned with the hospital’s mission, civic role, and market realities
Provide executive-level oversight of hospital operations, with the ability to assess operational efficiency, clinical and non-clinical performance metrics, throughput, staffing models, and management effectiveness. Use data, benchmarks, and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities
Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care, with clear accountability for clinical outcomes, patient experience, and regulatory compliance
Build a culture of performance excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement that supports long-term stability and credibility
Strengthen trust-based relationships with the medical staff through consistent communication, collaboration, and shared governance
Lead physician recruitment and service-line development aligned with community needs, academic priorities, and the hospital’s defined strategic role
Oversee community and charity care programs, including ambulatory models and access models designed to reduce avoidable emergency department utilization and improve population health outcomes
Serve as the primary external ambassador to Metro leadership, academic partners, regulators, and community stakeholders, rebuilding trust and advancing collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem
