Responsibilities
Develop and execute enterprise-wide strategies for indirect procurement across multiple spend categories (IT, facilities, professional services, marketing, corporate services, etc.)
Lead the design, rollout, and ongoing management of procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance, visibility, and efficient purchasing
Champion the implementation and optimization of a procurement system (e.g., procure-to-pay, supplier onboarding, approvals workflows), ideally integrated with NetSuite
Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and provide cost-effective sourcing solutions
Drive supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing supplier management to optimize value and mitigate risk
Establish and track procurement of KPIs, including savings, compliance, supplier performance, and cycle times
Develop standard operating procedures to support the centralization of procurement and ensure that stakeholders are trained and can access resources
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, data, and tools
Collaborate closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and spending reporting
Ensure alignment with organizational goals related to compliance, quality, sustainability, and risk management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
8+ years of indirect procurement experience, ideally within life sciences, biotech, or diagnostics settings
Proven success in developing procurement policies, standardizing processes, and building an indirect procurement function from the ground up
Demonstrated experience implementing or optimizing procurement systems (procure‑to‑pay, vendor management, contract management), ideally with NetSuite‑integrated tools
Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship‑building skills
Experience working cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, and business teams
Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership abilities
Preferred
APICS certification or equivalent preferred
Strategic thinker with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Experience in change management and process optimization
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in life sciences
