Willcox Savage, a full-service law firm, seeks a Partner to join its Employment Law Section. The role involves representing clients in employment-related matters, conducting legal research, and providing counsel on various employment law issues.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Represent firm clients or clients brought by partner in employment-related matters, including counseling, litigation, mediation, and arbitration
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
Provide counsel to employers and employees on employment law issues such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and workplace policies
Manage litigation matters from start to finish
Participate in client meetings, court appearances, and negotiations
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Virginia State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
Experience representing clients in both federal and state court litigation
Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple cases, associates and deadlines effectively
Ability to work from the Norfolk, Tysons or Richmond office
Preferred
7 years of experience in employment law preferred
At least a partial portable book of business is preferred
