CNC Turning & Milling Specialist

They are seeking a CNC Turning & Milling Specialist to operate both CNC and manual equipment to produce precision parts while ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes, mills, and grinders, as well as manual machines, to meet exact tolerances and specifications
Interpret drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to plan and execute machining steps accurately
Select tools, fixtures, and materials; perform setups and make on-the-fly adjustments for optimal performance
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and CMM to verify conformity with specifications and quality standards
Complete routine preventive maintenance; promptly report mechanical issues
Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize processes, reduce cycle times, and improve efficiency
Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all safety procedures
Document output, material usage, and any deviations from spec

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
2–3+ years as a machinist in a production setting
Proficiency on CNC and manual equipment
Strong print-reading skills
Comfort with precision inspection tools and quality control methods
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks

Preferred

Technical certification or associate degree in machining/manufacturing
CNC programming experience
Basic G-code knowledge
Problem-solving mindset and keen attention to detail
Forklift certification or related credentials
