Executive Director, Compliance Programs and Quality Assurance
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is dedicated to eliminating cancer through comprehensive programs in patient care, research, and education. The Executive Director of Compliance Programs and Quality Assurance will lead the strategic vision and management of the Institutional Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards while enhancing quality assurance initiatives.

Responsibilities
Provide the strategic vision for the operation of the Institutional Compliance Program's education, outreach, and policy governance functions
Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of quality assurance initiatives within the Institutional Compliance Program
Serve as a member of Institutional Compliance's Leadership Committee
Co-chair the Institutional Mandatory Training Steering Committee
Assess, propose enhancements to, and facilitate programmatic changes for all Institutional Compliance Program elements
Responsible for strategy, leadership for, and management of the Compliance Program Elements
Directly manage and develop strategies for the Institution-wide Sustainable Ethics Educational Program
Responsible for strategy, oversight, and management of specialized compliance educational activities
Develop strategies for all compliance awareness activities
Serve as the compliance liaison with Internal and External Communications
Responsible for development and maintenance of all major Institutional Compliance Program documents
Oversee management of all Institutional Compliance online content
Serve as the Institutional Compliance liaison in reviewing and revising MD Anderson's Annual Security Report
Responsible for triaging all incoming reports of potential non-compliance and makes recommendations to the CCEO and DCCO for appropriate disposition
Maintain all of the Institutional Compliance Program's compliance plans and internal policies and procedures
Lead the development of the annual Institutional Compliance Risk Assessment and corresponding workplans
Ensure that all compliance-related have appropriate governance and structure
Supervise all staff assigned to the Institutional Compliance Program team, including Associate Directors, Managers, Program Executive Directors, Policy Managers, Program Managers, and Program Coordinators
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop new technologies to streamline core departmental functions
Support and facilitate all special projects assigned by the CCEO and DCCO
Responsible for ensuring investigations are conducted thoroughly, objectively, and in alignment with institutional standards
Ensure that root cause analyses are conducted as part of the investigative process
Ensure that external audits, investigations, and surveys are responded to thoroughly, accurately, and completely
Develop and maintain quality assurance metrics related to investigations and CAPs
Qualification
Required
Master's Level Degree
One or more of the following certifications: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) issued by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) issued by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS), Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)
Ten years in health care administration with an emphasis on strategy development, project management, communications, compliance, and assurance, to include five years of supervisory/managerial experience
Preferred
Juris Doctorate Degree
Experience in a leadership position in an NCI-Designated Cancer Center
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC)
Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS)
