Responsibilities
Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, communications, security, and fire alarm systems
Collaborate closely with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into building designs
Perform load calculations and energy efficiency analyses to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Review and evaluate project requirements, proposals, and technical reports
Oversee on-site installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to support innovative and sustainable design solutions
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical emphasis
Active PE license
Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design within the construction industry
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
Experience with lighting design software and/or SKM PowerTools
Strong working knowledge of building, energy, electrical, and life safety codes
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while meeting challenging deadlines
Commitment to company policies, procedures, values, and the highest standards of ethical conduct
Ability to travel as required for project needs
