Senior Fiscal Analyst

BlueSun Inc. is a non-profit dedicated to providing employment for veterans and people with disabilities. They are seeking a Senior Fiscal Analyst to plan, develop, implement, and administer budgets while performing complex financial analysis and ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations.

Responsibilities

Planning, developing, implementing, and administering a department-wide or county-wide budget
Analyzes difficult and complex budget and financing proposals; meets with leadership to evaluate budget request
Performs complex analysis. Drafts proposed contracts and agreements, tracks expenditures and approved invoices for payments
Have a strong work ethic and communication skills
Respond to communications from county finance and/or business partners timely, accurately and professionally to provide information requested
Assist with any potential audit requests both from internal and external auditors
Troubleshoot and respond to Workday issues related to finance issues or budget impacts
Prepare for fiscal year end closing requirements and meet reporting deadlines for close out journal entries, billings, etc
A strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task and adapt to reactive situations
An open and collaborative working style, characteristic of a team player who can support a One Washington County approach to support the Department staff
Maintains cooperative and positive relations with coworkers and business partners

Required

Master's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics or a related field; AND 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least 1 year of supervisory or lead worker experience
Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics or a related field; AND 4 years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least 1 year of supervisory or lead worker experience
Associate's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics or a related field; AND 6 years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least 1 year of supervisory or lead worker experience
8 years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, of which 4 years of this experience must be in the public sector and includes at least 1 year of supervisory or lead worker experience
Have a strong work ethic and communication skills

Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws
Ability to analyze, organize, and interpret data from various sources, draw logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
Ability to maintain and balance a variety of financial records, ledgers, accounts, and associated files
Ability to interpret and apply Federal, State and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
