Start in 2026 SummerAllied World is offering a summer internship opportunity for law students interested in the insurance industry. The internship will provide experiential learning and mentoring, focusing on claims handling and various lines of business within the company.

Responsibilities
Gain an understanding of Allied World, our history, our mission who we are in the market and our value propositions
Learn the basics of claim handling from claim inception through resolution
Interact with our partners and clients including insureds, brokers and defense counsel
Engage with senior management
Create and develop a network of Allied World employees through your experience
Learn from other parts of the organization: underwriting, actuarial, operations, compliance, legal, IT, risk management, loss control
Qualification
Required
Law student
Interest in launching a career in the insurance industry
Willingness to learn about various lines of business including employment practices liability, cyber, errors and omissions, directors and officers, general casualty, medical malpractice and programs
Ability to interact with partners and clients including insureds, brokers and defense counsel
Desire to engage with senior management
Ability to create and develop a network of Allied World employees
