Responsibilities
Works with business groups to develop budgets/forecasts and to review actual performance
Provides general business advice to operations counterparts
Serves as a liaison between accounting and operations
Reviews and interprets complex financial data received from financial and operations leaders
Prepares detailed monthly analysis of overhead functions that contain meaningful analysis of costs and variances to budgets/forecasts
Establishes and maintains a tracking system for efficient monthly analysis
Prepares departmental budgets and forecasts. Provides analysis of departmental results of operations
May train new lower level team members
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required in business, accounting or finance
A minimum of 2 years experience in financial analysis
Intermediate Excel skills with demonstrated increasing levels of proficiency
Ability to perform more difficult analyses
Strong written and verbal communication skills
General knowledge of Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP)
General knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem solution skills
A natural orientation for continuous improvement and problem solving
Sharp organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to produce consistent quality under deadline pressure while paying careful attention to detail
Self-motivation and a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Ability to analyze problems and create solutions independently and at own discretion
Ability to use hands to accomplish tasks as assigned
Ability to effectively communicate; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
