The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain robust data architecture frameworks to support clinical trials and data-driven decision-making processes while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Bring strategic mindset to assess the existing data landscape and help define the architecture for all clinical global development data needs
Designing the global development data architecture to support analytical and transactional solutions. Understand GXP data architecture
Lead efforts to integrate data from multiple sources, including Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and Real-World Evidence (RWE) platforms
Define architectural artifacts like standards, design patterns for Ingestion, Integration, data products and data access areas
Defining data lake or database models and database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval
Ensure the defined data architecture aligns to data security, integrity, and compliance with data regulations like HIPAA, GDPR etc. as well as organization policies
Getting Data Architecture approved through governing bodies like SDER (Solution Design Engineering board), ARB (Architecture review Board) etc
Partner with Data enablement team (Implementation team) to ensure data pipelines are scalable and adhere to approved design patterns
Guide and collaborate with GD teams to implement data-related solutions
Evaluating and recommending new technologies to improve data landscape
Guide and collaborate with data governance team to bring in the right data governance for GD needs
Collaborate with Corp IT data team to align data tools and patterns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect or in a similar role, with experience in life sciences domain
Exposure to clinical data standards (CDISC, SDTM, ADaM, etc.) and regulatory requirements for clinical data
Expertise in big data lakes, lake house, data modeling, database design, and data integration
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices, with a focus on data management
Strong knowledge of data management technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, ETL tools) and statistical software
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred
Master's degree
Expertise with Snowflake, Databricks, SAS, R, redshift, postgres, python, EMR
Familiarity with Informatica IDMC, Alation, owlDQ
Exposure to clinical development domain
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
