Summer 2026 Cost Segregation Internship - MA Conversion
Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, providing clients with a genuine coast-to-coast and global advantage. They are currently seeking Cost Segregation Interns for 2026 who will gain knowledge of the firm's Tax and Consulting practices through various client projects and responsibilities including project planning and technical research.
Accounting
Responsibilities
Participate in project planning
Assist in completing estimates of real and personal property
Attend site visits
Identify and quantify qualifying assets utilizing construction cost estimation tools
Conduct technical research
Prepare supporting work paper documentation
Qualification
Required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United State on a full-time basis upon hire. Baker Tilly will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT)
Must have completed or be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, with a preference for accounting majors
If an accounting major, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon full-time Staff hire
Must reside within a commutable distance to a Baker Tilly office and be willing to work on-site
Eligible candidates must have academic courses remaining at the end of the internship; ideally, in the third year of a 4-year program, or fourth year of a 5-year program
Preferred
Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
Industrial Engineering, Engineering or Construction Management may also be considered
Willingness to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office location
Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Excellent customer service skills; Ability to understand own and others' emotions in order to achieve desired goals
Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in professional setting
Work effectively both as part of a team and independently

Outstanding organization and project management skills; Take responsibility for quality and timeliness of projects
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
