Responsibilities
Develop and execute rental sales strategies that drive sustained, profitable revenue growth
Set short- and long-term sales plans aligned with company goals and market opportunities
Identify and expand into new customer segments, partnerships, and national/regional accounts
Own rental revenue targets and ensure pricing supports margin, utilization, and return objectives
Drive disciplined pricing execution and consistent price realization across channels
Monitor performance metrics, including revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and contract performance
Build, coach, and lead a high-performing rental sales leadership team
Set clear expectations, goals, and accountability frameworks
Provide ongoing support, training, and guidance to ensure strong and consistent execution
Oversee negotiation and execution of rental agreements, bids, and enterprise contracts
Maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and partners
Ensure exceptional customer experience while balancing operational and financial considerations
Partner with Operations to align sales with inventory, service levels, and utilization needs
Collaborate with Marketing on go‑to‑market strategies and demand generation
Work with Merchandising and Supply Chain to ensure product assortments support rental strategies
Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to shape strategy
Provide recommendations on opportunities, risks, and long-term investments
Ensure processes, tools, and systems support effective forecasting and pipeline management
Drive continuous improvement in reporting, process efficiency, and sales execution
Partner with internal AI development teams to identify and deploy high-impact use cases
Lead adoption of AI tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) with clear standards, training, and workflows
Implement AI-assisted processes across prospecting, proposal creation, pricing guidance, forecasting, contract support, and customer health monitoring
Track and report impact metrics (cycle time reduction, hours saved, error reduction, revenue lift) and refine tools based on field feedback
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience; rental, furniture, or consumer durables preferred
Experience leading large, multi-level sales organizations
Strong background in pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and revenue management
Proven cross-functional partnership with Operations, Finance, and Marketing
Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
Ability to travel as required
Proficiency with AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.)
Experience partnering with technical teams to design and deliver AI-enabled tools or workflow automation
Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and drive adoption, change management, and measurable ROI
