Technical Director - Flooring
All Surfaces is seeking a Technical Director to oversee all technical aspects of projects and align technology with business goals. The role involves leading teams, managing budgets, ensuring quality, and providing technical support for products and installations.

Responsibilities
Technical troubleshooting, research and development – assist product and sales with installation inquiries as well as exploring new products and optimizing current products
Quality control – adjudicate overseas quality testing, administer and oversee domestic testing and quality checks
Claims – direct customer facing claims team on claims decisions, pass through guidance from OEM suppliers where necessary, prevent claims from becoming liabilities where necessary. Represent All Surfaces in claims with non-OEM suppliers as needed
Training – direct product-specific training with sales and internal employees, lead customer-facing training. Train trainers
Project Resolution – be able to visit active job sites with short notice and evaluate conditions to prevent claims from happening
Qualification
Required
Manufacturing background – preferably in the LVT, wood, or laminate categories; 7+ years' experience required
Claims experience – prior work in adjudicating and resolving claims from a technical perspective
Installation experience – Work as an installer in the past is preferred

Installation skills, or the ability to train others on such skills
Microsoft Office Proficiency
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Conflict Resolution
Ability to troubleshoot product issues
Operation of basic tools
Ability to lift 50lbs
Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, working on hands and knees for extended periods
Willingness to work in varied conditions for project evaluation
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred
Spanish language would be a major bonus here
Installation experience – Work as an installer in the past is preferred
