This role focuses on developing cost estimates for shop fabrication and field installation of custom metal components used in industrial facilities such as power plants, refineries, and manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities
Develop cost estimates and proposals for industrial metal fabrication and installation projects
Prepare lump sum pricing, unit costs, and quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
Estimate fabrication shop labor, materials, equipment, and field installation labor
Review project documents to identify scope considerations, risk areas, and constructability factors
Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Project Teams to align on pricing strategies
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing related to fabrication and installation
Analyze historical project data to improve estimating accuracy over time
Support value engineering and alternative pricing strategies
Participate in internal estimate reviews and pre-bid discussions
Document assumptions, clarifications, and estimate details to support clear project execution
Qualification
Required
Experience working with industrial fabrication or heavy industrial construction projects
Exposure to estimating fabricated metal work, including shop and field activities
Familiarity with environments such as power plants, refineries, or manufacturing facilities
Comfort reviewing drawings, specifications, and fabrication details
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams

Estimating or pricing software such as Accubid, Quotesoft, or similar platforms
ERP or reporting tools (Oracle, PowerBI, etc.)
