Responsibilities
Develop, validate, and release CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM for aerospace components
Perform toolpath verification and collision detection using Vericut prior to production release
Program complex 5-axis and multi-axis machining operations for rotating hardware and airfoils
Define machining strategies, cutting parameters, tooling selection, and workholding approaches
Support first article inspections (FAI), process validation, and production ramp-up
Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs to improve cycle time, quality, and tool life
Provide engineering-level shop floor support during development and production — not machine operation
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, capability, and cost reduction
Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and internal manufacturing requirements
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship (ITAR / government contracts)
3+ years of CNC programming experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
Hands-on Siemens NX CAM programming experience (required)
Vericut simulation experience for program validation (required)
Experience programming tight-tolerance aerospace components (±0.0005” or better)
Proven experience supporting production hardware, not prototypes only
This role is not a CNC operator or setup position
Preferred
Experience with rotating hardware, airfoils, turbine components, or engine structures
Programming 5-axis or complex multi-axis machining centers
Familiarity with aerospace inspection processes (FAI, SPC, Cpk)
Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.)
