Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to shape technical roadmaps and prioritize impactful initiatives
Build and enhance backend systems that enable travel advisors to manage bookings, itineraries, and client relationships
Design clean, maintainable architectures with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
Develop high-quality APIs and distributed services that support a growing travel platform
Partner with engineers across frontend and backend teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions
Own major epics from technical design through implementation, testing, and production delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in backend web development
3+ years building production systems with Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or similar
Strong expertise in API design, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture
Experience working with relational databases and ORM-based development
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Entrepreneurial energy and comfort operating in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment
Preferred
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized production environments
