Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of project models and documentation (3D models and drawings), in the form of verbal and written instructions and sketches to 3D CAD Technicians
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all drawings, files, engineering records, prints, and tasks of assigned projects
Prepare notes, preliminary and final plans (from field notes), implement design data, and create instructions
Learn and become proficient in engineering and drafting software programs such as, but not limited to, Mathcad, RISA-3D, Visual Foundation, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD
Coordinate drafting work while working with others on same or multiple projects
Perform quality assurance of projects
Maintain company drafting standards in accordance with industry drafting and engineering standards
Maintain the quality, accuracy, and security of computer-based graphical data
Maintain high standard of professionalism in attitudes and communication with fellow employees and clients
Maintain a clean and professional office and work area environment
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
MUST BE A U.S CITIZEN
Bachelor's degree (or higher) majoring in Architectural (structural emphasis), Civil (structural emphasis), or Agricultural Engineering (structural emphasis)
Ability to use CAD workstation, copy/fax machines, related office equipment, computers, and measuring equipment (tape measure, level, angles, laser level)
Must be self-motivating with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be a positive influence and keep a positive attitude toward projects
Organized, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Willingness and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Preferred experience in using Autodesk Revit
Preferred experience in using Microsoft Office products
Preferred experience in taking field measurements
Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or similar field
Experience in 3D CAD modeling
Ability to read structural construction drawings
