Responsibilities
Perform complete construction documents to include drawings, power system studies and specification documentation
Perform and oversee execution of designs including medium and low voltage AC, DC, single line diagrams, electrical plans and equipment layout
Perform and oversee execution of lighting design both interior and exterior, calculate foot-candle to ensure lighting design meets IESNA requirements
Participate in meetings with internal and external customers and provide engineering support through design and construction phases including but not limited to reviewing/ approving shop drawings submittals, responding to RFI’s, and addressing AHJ comments
Knowledge of Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code
Review deliverables and follow QA/QC process through design and construction phases
Perform site visits and communicate with architects, contractors, and consulting teams
Participate in and lead internal team meetings and external client meetings
Present design approaches to authorities having jurisdictions
Collaborate with multiple teams across multiple offices in a multi-discipline environment
Work independently and supervise the efforts of a small team
Participate in multiple projects simultaneously and profitably
Maintain a working relationship with clients
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Perform other duties as may be assigned
Qualification
Required
BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field
PE license in Electrical Engineering (licensed for at least 3 years)
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design
Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT
Experience with OSHPD/HCAi
Knowledge of Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience with multi-family, commercial, institutional, and higher education projects
Experience with Battery Energy Storage System
Experience with SKM and/or ETAP programs
Experience with PVsyst software
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe/Bluebeam software
Project Management experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent time management, supervisory, and people skills
