Responsibilities

Build a holistic strategy to amplify brand, product and services conversation, and create compelling content
Develop a research-based social media and content marketing plan and monthly editorial calendars which align with the overall business strategy
Plan, write, edit, and track content across the customer journey, ensuring the tone and writing style reinforce and deepen the brand voice
Establish best practice guides and processes for content marketing
Maintain knowledge of our product, features and updates to accurately represent our offering across our content
Provide in-depth insights and content recommendations across campaigns and channels based on specific metrics and overall performance
Consistently educate and guide the team as well as the rest of the organization on content sharing, trends, opportunities and best practices
Oversee the content and social calendars and drive it for all channels, PR and influencer
Analyze, measure and report social engagement metrics and be an internal advocate and champion of the function
Monitor Social platform engagement and cultural trends to grow Ritchie bros social engagement standards and practices
Stay on top of the most up to date industry trends and the latest digital marketing products to continuously 'innovate'
When negative reviews are found on our social platforms regarding any of our services or employee behavior, this role will be responsible for bringing the information to the local management and responding to the review
When there is an issue with a project, e.g. not clear direction or information, this role will be responsible for contacting the project owner and resolving the issue

Required

5 + years' experience with proven track record content marketing, marketing communications, public relations or similar field
Excellent English writing and editing skills, with an understanding of writing for a brand
A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills
An open and constructive approach to both giving and receiving feedback
Being extremely organized and comfortable managing multiple projects and timelines
An eagerness to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a fast-paced work environment
Confidence in presenting and explaining your strategies to senior executives
Must be able to work independently, learn quickly and prioritize competing projects with tight deadlines
Must be willing to undertake both routine tasks and new, challenging projects
Must work well in an open, collaborative team environment
Must be able to work overtime to meet deadlines, if required
Travel to main auction event, industry event, couple of times a year
