Senior Product Manager - Aviation Training Courseware

They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to manage the day-to-day of an assigned product line, focusing on aviation training courseware and ensuring alignment with market and customer needs.

Responsibilities
Research and create product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successfully achieved
Leads the project through discovery, execution and support
Ensures that projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget
Identifies market potential, establishes pricing and market strategies and estimates potential sales
Conducts research and develops a solid understanding of the customer’s needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors
Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
Collaborates with various functional areas such as sales, support, QA, engineering, and marketing to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
Partners with marketing to prepare marketing strategies and deliverables that reflect the brand and product identity
Partners with sales to ensure that customer targets and product messaging are effective
Develops metrics used to conduct an ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and value of the product/project
Surfaces new and innovative ideas for product improvements
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 years flight training experience required
Minimum of 3 years Product Management experience required including managing a team
Excellent organizational and product management skills are required, preferably with previous software product management experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision making
Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections
Excellent written and oral skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Occasional travel required 10%
Preferred
Bachelor's degree required
Chief pilot or assistant chief pilot for Part 141 schools
Has experience with school and instructor management systems for student enrollment, flight logs, pilot certificates, endorsement, progress tracking of checkrides, FAA TCO approvals, etc
Has experience teaching using Jeppesen and ForeFlight products
