Responsibilities

General accounting tasks
Process employee expense reimbursements, including travel reports
Code and enter Accounts Payable (AP) vouchers and related corrections
Assist AP Clerk with AP related tasks
Reconciliation/recording of cash receipts
Reconciliation and payment of benefit plan invoices
Preparation of monthly cost summaries for internal projects
Reconciliation of balance sheet/expense accounts
Participate in the following tasks on an as-needed basis:
Provide assistance for various audit preparation tasks
Assist with year-end census data and other required company surveys
Payroll tasks
Process employee timesheets through system interface and/or data entry
Process employee payroll through third-party system
Prepare journal entries for interface and/or data entry
Prepare data files for upload to 401k plan administrator
Calculate and reconcile contribution amounts for multiple corporate retirement plans
Communication with employees, managers, payroll vendor and retirement plan administrators on related tasks

Required

10 years of experience administering payroll for 200+ employees
Relevant experience in private accounting environment 1-5 years ($20M+ revenue preferred) or accounting services in public accounting
Strong knowledge of and working experience with MS Office, specifically MS Excel (knowledge and experience with MS Access a plus)
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Preferred

Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience working for a government contractor
Working knowledge of Costpoint (Deltek) or a comparable ERP system
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting procedures
Excellent communication, teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
