Senior FPGA / ASIC Electronic Hardware Engineer – DO-254 (Aerospace)
ACL Digital is seeking a Senior Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) Engineer to support the development and compliance of complex aircraft electronic systems. This role involves leading the development of airborne electronic hardware systems and ensuring regulatory compliance with FAA requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead and guide development of airborne electronic hardware systems
Support DO-254 compliance and FAA regulatory requirements
Oversee development of ASICs, FPGAs, and programmable logic devices
Participate in audits, design reviews, and risk evaluations
Provide technical direction to suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery performance
Support compliance findings and regulatory documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and supplier teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or related field
7+ years experience developing complex electronic/electrical systems
5+ years experience with certified airborne electronic hardware
Strong experience with RTCA/DO-254
Experience in compliance verification and regulatory support
Preferred
FPGA design experience
Experience as FAA DER, AR, or EUM
Background in ASIC or power supply design
