Responsibilities
Creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure efficient and precise production of parts
Interpreting technical drawings
Assisting in setting up CNC machines
Troubleshooting programming issues
Collaborating with machinists
Making accurate setup sheets
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and enhance productivity
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation- you should be comfortable walking your first part thru
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (especially Esprit) and G-code programming
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for CNC machine operation and processing- Okuma lathe knowledge is a plus
Understanding of machining processes (turning and processing of parts to be finished post heat treat)
Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and quality assurance practices
Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with machinists and engineers
Preferred
Previous experience in a similar role or environment is highly desirable
Vocational training or certification in CNC programming or precision machining is an advantage
