We are hiring a Business Controller focused on our Road Guard entity in the Western US, responsible for guiding the accounting team, owning technical accounting, and partnering cross-functionally with leaders across the business.

Responsibilities
Take a hands-on role in the project controls, project review and related processes in conjunction with the operations leaders
Key advisor to operations leadership related to leading and trending indicators to improve company performance
Lead and continuously improve all core accounting functions: month-end close, GL management, audits, reconciliations, and internal controls
Conduct and guide technical accounting research, documentation, and policy update
Oversee accounting execution for complex transaction cycles and key accounts
Serve as a lead partner in the integration of acquired entities into GSI’s financial systems
Collaborate with FP&A and operational leaders on cashflow, budgeting, forecasting margin tracking, and financial accuracy by project
Support tax planning and compliance in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Drive automation and system improvements to streamline the month-end close process
Prepare key reporting for executive decision making and board visibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Demonstrated process and systems development experience
Ability to travel occasionally along the East Coast and to our HQ in Westminster, CO
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Deep proficiency in Excel and comfort with financial systems
Preferred
CPA certification
Experience running a complete month-end close cycle
Prior use of Vista by Viewpoint
Background in public accounting or fast-scaling private companies
Hands-on experience with M&A integration
