10+ years expEaton Fiber is building a 100% fiber network to support the next generation of broadband services. They are seeking a VP Network Architect to develop the technical aspects of the company’s strategy, design network architecture, and manage network vendors to optimize performance.

Responsibilities
Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
Design the network architecture including selection and placement of active electronic in data centers and fields based on the business requirements
Building resilient backhaul design while collaborating with service providers, engineering and construction teams to deploy that
Managing network vendors to deploy and integrate a network that matches low level business requirements and SLAs
Optimize the use of operational support systems/platforms/applications to improve network performance
Ensure quality assurance and data protection processes to protect the network, customer, and organizational data
Monitor KPIs and Network budgets to assess technological performance
Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
Oversees projects and assignments within the Network Operations and Engineering organization
Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of the network are performed as needed
Design, implement and maintain secure data communication network
Manage hardware/software upgrades to ensure optimization

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required
At least 10 years of experience in technology positions and 5+ years in the telecommunications industry in network operations, planning, or engineering with increasing level of responsibility throughout
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to successfully champion initiatives
Excellent managerial and leadership skills including competencies in teamwork, collaboration, motivation, and execution
Must be able to commute to NJ office as needed (Bergen County)
Preferred
Fiber experience preferred
Significant experience with Telecommunications Networks
Strong knowledge of network protocols
Experience with Software defined network architecture, virtualization and cloud solutions, API integration
Experience with OTT solutions for consumers and small business to support new product selection and implementation with the network and support systems
MBA or other relevant graduate degree a plus
Cisco certifications are preferred
