Responsibilities
Provide technical support for Reichert products
Complete orders for upgrades, replacements and loaners to support customer needs
Complete RMA documentation in MAX and provide support through Salesforce platform
Interface daily with customers regarding repairs, billing, and warranty inquiries
Research and gather information to support technical product questions, including interviewing subject matter experts
Learn and use Reichert's internal MRP and Complaint systems for documenting product returns, complaints, and manufacturing information
Attend product meetings and collaborate with product teams to improve instrument quality
Perform dealer training and travel to dealers, doctors offices, and trade shows as needed
Research, organize, develop, modify, and compose clear, concise technical documents, including diagrams, flow charts, and graphics, to meet ISO and industry technical writing standards
Assist in the development and maintenance of company style guides, templates, and document control
Update, edit, manipulate, and modify Reichert manuals in their source programs (e.g., InDesign, Word)
Qualification
Required
Two-year degree in electronics (or higher) with a background in technical support, or equivalent experience
Mechanical and electronic repair experience for products
Ability to teach dealer technicians to repair, calibrate, and use ophthalmic instrumentation
Technical writing experience with Adobe (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in emerging technologies and software for technical support and documentation
Adaptability to new tools for remote support and virtual training
Continuous learning mindset for advancements in ophthalmic instrumentation and support methodologies
Strong digital literacy, including data analytics for improving support processes and customer satisfaction
Preferred
Background in ophthalmic instrumentation
Experience with serial communication and EMR systems
