Electrical Engineering Technician Supervisor
New Mexico State University is a comprehensive research university dedicated to teaching, research public service and outreach. They are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician Supervisor to design and prototype circuits, maintain lab equipment, mentor students, and ensure a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities
Design and simulate electronic circuits using CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad)
Build prototypes of electronic circuits on breadboards or PCBs
Test and debug prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications
Calibrate and maintain electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies)
Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment
Use data acquisition systems to collect and analyze electrical data
Process and analyze data using software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW)
Assemble electronic components onto PCBs using soldering and other techniques
Fabricate custom cables and wiring harnesses
Assist engineers in conducting research projects
Train students in electrical engineering concepts and laboratory techniques
Mentor students on research projects
Compliance with and supervision of safety procedures
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree
Preferred
PE in Electrical Power Systems is desired, or EIT with an equivalent combination of experience
Medium-to High-Voltage work certification or electrician/journeyman certification is highly preferred
