Responsibilities
Establish and maintain lasting relationships with press, social media influencers, and other community stakeholders
Collaborate with teams across the Company to execute a communications strategy for sharing Apple's values with the world
Translate Apple's values into highly relevant and engaging communications to forge deeper connections with current and potential users
Drive impactful coverage and feature stories
Write and develop thoughtful pitches and press materials
Staff events and media briefings
Identify and manage issues in a continuous news cycle
Prioritize, focus, and simplify priorities and opportunities, driving projects with attention to detail
Lead efforts in finding new media and social platforms for storytelling
Qualification
Required
Strategic and creative professional experience in public relations
Ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with press, social media influencers, and community stakeholders
Experience collaborating with teams to execute a communications strategy
Ability to translate Apple's values into relevant and engaging communications
Experience driving impactful coverage and feature stories
Ability to write and develop thoughtful pitches and press materials
Experience staffing events and media briefings
Ability to identify and manage issues in a continuous news cycle
Keen ability to prioritize, focus, and simplify priorities and opportunities
Relentless attention to detail
Proactive self-starter with a passion for consumer technology
Ability to follow news and relevant trends
Track record of originating creative opportunities that deliver strong media coverage
Energy, ideas, and appetite to bring fresh storytelling ideas to fruition
Ability to find new relationships amongst talent and communities
Experience leading efforts in finding new media and social platforms
Preferred
BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred
Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
Develops and delivers effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
Ability to analyze complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
Understands internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs; able to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Experience in media relations and have developed a network of media contacts in creative, tech, design and cultural platforms
Successfully delivered creative PR campaigns that have resulted in meaningful impact
Strong media judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability create new opportunities
Capable of analyzing media coverage and sentiment, anticipating problems, and applying insights to the team's work
Self-motivated, possess a positive team-player attitude and passionate about consumer technology
Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities as well as exceptional project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Superb attention to detail
Able to work with ambiguity and on complex topics across multiple jurisdictions
Skilled in multi-tasking, delivering under tight timelines, adapting quickly to change
