Shipping Inspector - 1st Shift

The Shipping Inspector will be responsible for preparing parts for safe transit, ensuring shipment accuracy, and maintaining documentation and inventory records.

Responsibilities

Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment
Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time as it is critical to meet production needs
Package and prepare parts (described above) for shipment
Verify that orders are proper in terms of quantity and style of product, to ensure shipment accuracy
Ability to work collaboratively in the loading and unloading of the truck, as well as performing Quality Assurance checks
Determine sufficient packaging methods and shipping charges, print and affix labels, prepare bills of lading for transit, and confirm compliance for shipping specifications
Maintain accurate record keeping for all outgoing/incoming packages and inventory
Guarantee proper storage and security of all products and materials
Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers
On-the-job training will be provided for this position
Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager

In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person
English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines

Preferred

Experience in Shipping, FedEx/UPS, USPS
