Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and data mapping documents to design detailed ETL test plans, scenarios, and test cases
Perform end-to-end source-to-target data validation, including reconciliation, transformation rule verification, and data loading checks
Develop and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, truncation, and aggregation logic
Validate ETL jobs, workflows, and batch processing frameworks, including metadata-driven ETL processes
Identify, document, and track data-related defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane, and work closely with development teams for resolution
Automate ETL test scripts and perform data volume, performance, and scalability testing
Validate data processing in Hadoop ecosystems, including HiveQL, HDFS file structures, and data ingestion workflows
Ensure data quality standards and governance requirements are met across all data pipelines
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in ETL Testing and data validation
Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, and performance tuning
Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud)
Hands-on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and relational databases
Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schemas
Experience with scheduling and batch frameworks such as Autosys
Working knowledge of Shell Scripting
Bachelor's or degree in or a related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred
Exposure to Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and distributed data processing environments
Knowledge of Kafka and streaming data concepts
Banking and payments domain experience
