Responsibilities
Perform detailed financial due diligence reviews of existing and prospective third-party relationships, assessing financial strength, liquidity, cash flows, and overall risk profile
Analyze full financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, KPIs, and supporting schedules
Review and interpret 10-Ks, 10-Qs, audit opinions, and related financial disclosures
Conduct financial risk assessments, including benchmarking, going-concern analysis, and debt-service capacity evaluation
Assign financial risk ratings in accordance with internal risk methodologies and frameworks
Prepare clear, concise analysis and presentation materials for internal risk and oversight committees
Partner with third-party governance teams to support remediation planning and ongoing monitoring of financial risks
Identify emerging financial risks within third-party relationships and escalate issues as appropriate
Support ongoing monitoring, annual reviews, and interim update reporting for third-party oversight forums
Assist with internal reporting on due diligence status, risk conditions, and remediation progress
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of experience in Big 4 audit or advisory, supporting banking or financial services clients
Hands-on experience with external financial statement audit, financial statement tie-outs, and SEC reporting analysis
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, audit opinions, and financial reporting requirements
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and identify financial risks
Solid foundation in accounting and financial processes (tax-only backgrounds not a fit)
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Interest in risk management, governance, and financial due diligence within a fintech or banking environment
Preferred
CPA, FRM, or similar certifications are a plus but not required
