Key Account Manager - Bay Area
Swoon is partnering with a global manufacturer of electronic components, and they are seeking a Key Account Manager for a fully remote role with up to 30% travel. This position will manage high-value customer portfolios, focusing on data center and data communications accounts while driving long-term revenue growth through strategic relationships.
Responsibilities
Manage and expand relationships with assigned key accounts in the data center, data communications, and adjacent markets
Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market penetration
Position and promote component solutions based on customer applications and system requirements
Identify new opportunities, design-in programs, and emerging needs within assigned accounts
Partner closely with engineering, product management, operations, and global sales teams
Support product launches, technical reviews, and customer presentations
Track account performance, pipeline activity, and market trends
Provide regular updates and insights to leadership
Qualification
Required
Proven experience selling electronic components, semiconductors, or related technologies
Demonstrated background working with data center and/or data communications customers
Minimum of 5 years in technical sales, account management, or business development
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Willingness to travel up to 30% throughout the West Coast
Preferred
Experience managing large, strategic OEM or hyperscale accounts
Strong understanding of networking, server, storage, or infrastructure platforms
Consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a global organization
