They are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative co-op student with a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry to work with their protein sciences team in a hands-on laboratory position.

Responsibilities

Engineer novel classes of antibody-based therapeutics intended to act only where desired
Clone constructs for recombinant protein expression
Perform transient transfections in mammalian cells and purify proteins using various chromatographic methods (affinity, SEC, etc.) and instrumentation (FPLC, KingFisher)
Characterize proteins using a range of analytical techniques, including SDS-PAGE, analytical SEC, and BLI
Accurately and systematically document data in an electronic lab notebook and generate summary presentations
Regularly present results to colleagues in team meetings and department meetings

Required

Undergraduate or graduate degree-level coursework in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related fields, is required

Preferred

Biology/biochemistry lab experience in academic or industry settings is preferred
A keen interest in learning about the latest advances in protein engineering, and applying them to design fit-for-purpose molecules
Meticulous attention to detail, good organizational skills, and strength in problem-solving
Ability to be on-site in Watertown, MA (we will be moving from our current location in South Boston in summer 2026)
