Responsibilities
Utilizing MicroStation to develop engineering drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, details, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
Working closely with other Designer/Detailers and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design
Applying standard design/detailing/drafting principles and theories to complete assignments
Utilizing technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state standards and codes (e.g., State-level Bridge Design Manuals and Standard Drawings)
Ensuring compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications
Compiling data and performing dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings
Making required changes, additions, and/or revisions as directed by your immediate supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Ability to interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures
Preferred
Pursuit of 2 year degree/certificate in drafting may be preferred
Experience in Microstation design/detailing/drafting is preferred
