Strategic Market Development: Develop and implement comprehensive growth strategies for Caterpillar Compact Equipment in the Salt Lake Valley with clear KPIs, market share targets, and customer engagement objectives
Retail Integration Leadership: Lead initiatives to build and scale a consistent compact retail experience across Wheeler’s footprint, ensuring alignment with company-wide retail objectives and customer expectations
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders in Rental, Product Support, Parts, Marketing, Sales, Used, and Facilities to align compact equipment initiatives with operational capabilities and branding standards
Customer Experience Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the customer journey within the compact retail segment, including facility layout, product availability, service experience, and brand representation
Data-Driven Planning: Utilize sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform decision-making and refine growth strategies
Brand Stewardship: Serve as a champion of the Caterpillar brand, ensuring consistent messaging, customer engagement, and brand presence within the compact segment
Expansion Planning: Support and lead efforts to expand compact equipment strategies into additional regions of South Carolina, using lessons learned from the Upstate pilot market
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction equipment sales, retail strategy, or business development—preferably with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands
Proven track record of driving growth and leading cross-functional initiatives
Strong understanding of compact equipment customer needs and retail buying behaviors
Experience working in a dealer environment (CAT dealer experience highly preferred)
Knowledge of Utah construction markets and customer base
Previous involvement in facility or retail location launches or remodels
Exceptional communication, project management, and leadership skills
Proficient in data analysis, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel within South Carolina as required
Possess a valid Driver's License with less than three moving violations in the past three years
