Responsibilities
Test & Validate: Execute testing for new games, features, and platform updates across desktop and mobile web environments
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for games and game-related features
Collaboration: Work with internal and external teams to execute testing requirements
Cross-Platform Testing: Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and performance testing across various browsers and devices
Qualitative Feedback: Provide input on gameplay, balance, difficulty, pacing, and the overall player experience
Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs clearly and consistently, working closely with Engineering and external partners to drive resolution
Gameplay Support: Collaborate with Game Design and Product teams to support gameplay tuning, balancing, and iteration
Review Ownership: Lead playtests and reviews to ensure games meet quality, usability, and fun standards
Live Operations: Support live ops by validating updates, content changes, and bug fixes post-launch
Quality Advocacy: Work with internal teams and external developers to ensure quality standards are met before release
Creative Contribution: Contribute to content creation where appropriate, such as puzzle design, quiz authoring, or configuration updates
Player Perspective: Advocate for the player experience while maintaining strong technical quality and platform standards
Feedback Management: Review, manage, and help prioritize player feedback
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for games or interactive products
Web Testing Experience: Hands-on experience testing desktop and mobile web applications, including cross-browser compatibility
Technical Aptitude: A strong technical foundation; a Computer Science background or equivalent experience is preferred
Development Knowledge: Experience working closely with engineers and an understanding of development workflows
Strong Communication: Ability to write clear, detailed test plans, bug reports, and reproduction steps
Analytical Mindset: Experience testing games from both a technical and player-experience perspective
Passion for Games: An instinct for what makes gameplay feel fun, fair, and engaging
Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
Preferred
Experience testing casual, daily, or live-ops games
Experience with gameplay balancing or tuning
Experience creating or curating game content (e.g., puzzles, quizzes, levels)
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development practices
Experience using test management, bug tracking, or analytics tools
