Sales Development Representative

Rain Bird Corporation is seeking a results-driven Sales Development Representative to join their Landscape SBU Inside Sales division. The role involves identifying and creating new qualified opportunities for the field sales team, managing outbound campaigns, and nurturing key relationships to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

Supports regional business development efforts to grow sales in key channels and verticals
Leverage industry leading tools to identify best fit targets and deploy creative gaining access sequences and campaigns
Make 40+ outbound phone calls each day to prospective clients in the United States for key regional accounts
Generate and qualify new leads for our field sales organization by effectively building relationships and uncovering pain points with multiple customer persona types
Achieve and exceed weekly/monthly metrics i.e. (calls, emails, leads sent, qualified leads, etc.)
Contribute to maintaining our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other tools by updating account records, tracking interactions, and following up on qualified pipeline with field sales partners
Travel up to 10% may be required to attend customer meetings, internal trainings, and/or industry events

Required

0-2 years of experience and/or internships in sales, business development, marketing, and/or similar roles
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
You are comfortable making cold calls, challenging the status quo, and open to coaching to support development

Preferred

You have a desire to accelerate your sales career and are self-motivated to achieve lead quotas
Proficient in using sales engagement tools and CRMs to manage sequences, activity, follow-up actions, etc
Ability to demonstrate active listening, and critical thinking to come up with compelling reasons for prospects to change now
Desire to grow your career and assume roles of greater responsibilities
