Responsibilities

Develop and execute an integrated university-wide talent development strategy encompassing workforce planning, talent acquisition, leadership development, and succession planning aligned with institutional priorities and workforce needs
Translate institutional strategy into scalable learning and development initiatives with measurable impact
Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor on talent acquisition strategy, labor market trends, and long-term workforce needs
Align recruitment, hiring, and development strategies with institutional priorities, academic goals, and future skills requirements
Establish governance, standards, and best practices across talent lifecycle to ensure institutional consistency, equity, and effectiveness
Design and implement effective sourcing, recruitment, and selection strategies aligned with institutional goals, enrollment, and academic priorities
Develop and deliver hiring manager capability through training, tools, and consultative support, including interview practices, selection decision - making, and onboarding readiness
Partner with leadership, hiring managers, and search committees on job design, education experience and competent prioritization, selection and hiring processes
Lead the design and delivery of development programs for managers, emerging leaders, and high-potential talent
Oversee professional development offerings, career pathways, coaching, mentoring, and skill-based learning initiatives
Enhance the onboarding experience for new hire effectiveness and employee engagement
Integrate best practices in learning, instructional design, leadership development, and recruitment practices
Establish metrics and maintain data-driven assessment frameworks to evaluate program effectiveness and return on investment across talent acquisition, onboarding, and talent development programs
Use data, feedback, and benchmarking to improve hiring effectiveness, workforce outcomes, and demonstrate impact to stakeholders
Stay current on emerging trends in higher education, academic and administrative leadership development, workforce transformation, and talent acquisition innovation

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of progressive experience in talent development and talent acquisition preferably within higher education or similarly complex and / or large-scale organization
Demonstrated success leading large-scale talent initiatives that integrate talent selection methodologies, development, and workforce planning with measurable outcomes
Proven ability to partner effectively with senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders
Strong experience with PeopleSoft or similar integrated Enterprise Resource Planning System
Strategic thinking and systems orientation
Deep understanding of talent acquisition and workforce planning
Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
Political acumen and cultural sensitivity with academic environment
Data-informed decision making
Collaborative, consultative leadership style

Preferred

Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field
