Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong service standards
Supervise, coach, and develop payroll team members; Oversee workload distribution, workflow management, and performance
Maintain payroll policies, documentation, and process integrity; Identify and implement improvements
Ensure proper handling of earnings, deductions, withholdings, overtime, bonuses, and timekeeping data
Manage payroll audits, reporting, issue resolution, and year-end activities (including tax statements and regulatory filings)
Partner with HR, Finance, and IT on systems testing, integrations, troubleshooting, and cross-functional initiatives
Monitor legislative changes and ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and applicable international regulations
Provide accurate payroll data for budgeting, forecasting, benefits, and financial analysis
Protect sensitive information and uphold confidentiality and professional standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; Finance or related field preferred
8+ years of progressive payroll or finance experience, including high-volume, multi-state environments
4+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax law, accounting principles, and payroll best practices
Experience working with enterprise payroll/HR systems (any modern payroll system)
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
High attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and customer service orientation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
