Responsibilities
You’ll use your bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering to perform market congestion and power flow studies
You’ll use your knowledge of power systems to assess limitations on our system
You’ll use economic analyses to develop cost-effective short- and long-term transmission system plans
All these efforts will help ATC provide solutions that ensure appropriately reliable power flow through our system
In addition, this role will make use of data to anticipate performance of our future system, and allow us to flexibly address the future we can’t predict
The work our Transmission Planning Engineers perform is crucial to confirm the need for projects, refine project scopes and ensure development of appropriate alternatives, schedules, and cost estimates
You’ll support teams at ATC as well as our customers and MISO
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Knowledge of power systems
Experience in performing market congestion and power flow studies
Ability to conduct economic analyses to develop cost-effective short- and long-term transmission system plans
