Responsibilities

Lead Scope Reviews for MEP trades during Preconstruction and assist the Estimator
Reports directly to Shawmut Construction Project Leadership appraising of any issues or concerns with respect to the MEPS trades/scopes of work
Working with the MEPS Superintendents, manages day to day MEPS activities to ensure that the subcontractors are on schedule and on site with the required manpower and materials
Attends weekly project meetings regularly reporting the project status to the Client, and the Design Team
Prepares and evaluates project budgets, and schedules
Reviews, and evaluates scope changes and if required issue change orders for added scope expeditiously
Regularly meets with subcontractors to assess progress of work and address any schedule concerns, or performance issues
Works closely with the Project Accountant to ensure subcontractor requisitions are accurate and submitted on time to insure timely payment applications

Qualification

Required

5+ years of experience in Construction/MEP
Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low-voltage systems
General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project
Experienced dealing with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors
Have proven track record as a Project Manager on projects with large MEP scopes

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
