Senior Specialist, Workforce Development

Foundation for California Community Colleges is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the California Community Colleges system. The Senior Specialist will lead grant administration, process development, and external relationship management to improve program outcomes and support workforce development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support, training, subagreements, guidance documents, and program reporting
Act as primary liaison with funders and facilitate funder meetings to ensure strong communication and responsiveness to their needs. Contribute to business development as needed
Lead development and implementation of grant/award management processes in collaboration with Director, colleagues, and partners. Assess and improve process effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle

Required

Relevant BA/BS, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both
Minimum of three to five (3-5) + years of related work experience
Experience with customer relationship management software (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) and project management software (e.g., Asana)
Excellent project management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and deliver quality products within agreed upon timeframes, with limited supervision
Exceptional ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong virtual and in-person presentation skills

Preferred

Minimum of two (2) + years of experience in an education or nonprofit environment
