Responsibilities
Review and assess existing data sources and data source systems to identify risks to data validity and reliability
Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and stakeholders to gather information and understand current data processes
Review system documentation, training materials, and previously developed assessment artifacts
Conduct stakeholder and subject matter expert interviews to understand data usage and workflows
Shadow system users to observe real‑world data entry and usage practices
Perform source system and table‑level analysis to identify data inconsistencies or gaps
Synthesize, prioritize, and document identified data quality threats
Develop clear, actionable recommendations to mitigate identified risks and improve data reliability
Present findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders in an understandable manner
Participate in onboarding and training activities, including daily check‑ins when required
Work within a hybrid schedule, supporting on‑site collaboration several days per week
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting IT software or application projects
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess structured and unstructured data
Experience reviewing system processes, identifying problems, and evaluating procedures and workflows
Experience designing, documenting, and testing standards or solution recommendations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to technical and non‑technical audiences
Ability to build effective working relationships with management, program staff, and IT teams
Experience using Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet functionality and Power Query
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data analytics capabilities
Strong organizational and project management skills
Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Technology or related field with 5 years of relevant experience
