Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible for configuration management and orchestration
Develop and support automation scripts using Python and Bash
Create and maintain YAML-based configuration files and playbooks
Manage source code using GitLab, following standard branching and version control practices
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual processes
Troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize existing automation workflows
Document automation processes and ensure solutions are maintainable and reusable
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with Ansible in production environments
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
Solid understanding of YAML for configuration and automation use cases
Experience working with GitLab for source control and collaboration
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Preferred
Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts
Hands-on experience with Terraform
Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
Experience supporting production systems with high availability requirements
