Responsibilities
As a member of the Launch Operations Engineering and Infrastructure - Operational Facility Systems, responsibilities include the testing, operation, and maintenance of industrial process systems, including Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and facility HVAC systems used at all ULA Launch Sites
Position is located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
Position will focus on Environmental Control Systems engineering; support launch operations and major operational systems testing, at the launch site and in the launch control center, operating mission critical ECS/HVAC systems, and industrial controls supporting the launch vehicle and the spacecraft
Develop new and revise existing operational test procedures, schedules, and maintenance documentation associated with the Spacecraft and launch vehicle ECS
Support of technical staff and contractors in the installation and test of ECS, mechanical and plumbing components and systems
Support of technical staff working new development activities supporting Next Generation Launch Systems, customer funded special studies, mission unique modifications, or other major facility modifications and/or system upgrades
Develop and coordinate technical portions of proposals, statements of work and contract specifications
Apply knowledge of regulatory and certifying agency requirements to ensure product and/or service is in compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 2 years of relevant Engineering work experience with Commercial and Industrial HVAC
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office products like Excel, Word, Power Point and Project
Experience with Computer Aided Design software such as Revit & AutoCAD
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or chemical engineering is preferred, will consider electrical engineering with appropriate work experience
Professional experience in Aerospace environmental control systems operations and maintenance and/or equivalent industrial process systems is preferred
Knowledge of industry standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, ASTM and Range Safety requirements is preferred
