Responsibilities

Manage and execute work on water and wastewater utilities projects
Facilitate multiple, concurrent project delivery and execution (including managing subconsultants) on time, on budget and with expected level of quality
Lead teams to develop and prepare specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, planning, and engineering services during construction
Perform technical research, and communicate and apply this knowledge
Lead project teams in planning and/or designing a major engineering project and coordinate special planning, economic, and engineering studies
Technical and quality control review of study, planning and design documents
Prepare calculations, models and other technical deliverables for civil/utility, conveyance and infrastructure related projects
Develop scope, schedule and budget for projects
Develop proposals and presentations including project understanding and approaches, and level of effort estimates
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and for professional meetings
Supervise, delegate and oversee the work of technical staff and engineers
Assist with and lead business development pursuits
Coach and mentor junior engineers and designers
Coordinate with project managers, client service managers, and other project personnel from other disciplines
Utilize internal project management tools and resources to provide successful management of large projects that meet or exceed the project success metrics

Required

B.S. degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or with an Environmental focus (or related engineering discipline) required
Professional registered engineer in the State of Pennsylvania or the credentials to obtain registration in a timely manner is also required
Demonstrated strong project management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation
Valid driver's license and good driving record

Preferred

Minimum of 7+ years of increasingly-responsible, professional experience in municipal water and wastewater engineering and consulting preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred but not required
Previous business development experience (writing winning proposals and successfully pursuing work) is a plus
Previous supervisory experience preferred
